Romantic Princess - Gong Zhu Xiao Mei, a 13 episodes 2007 Taiwan idol drama, stars Wu Zun and Calvin Chen of Fahrenheit, and Angela Zhang. The romantic comedy drama is based on manga story Romance Godan Katsuyou.
Here’s the synopsis of Romantic Princess - Gong Zhu Xiao Mei:
Story started with Xiao Mai (by Angela Zhang), a middle classed girl, whom was dreaming to be the little princess of a wealthy family living in a beautiful palace. Well, not long after that, her dream comes true! Somehow, her biological Grandfather finally found her after years of searching and sent people to fetch her. Yeap, Xiao Mai is actually being adopted by her current parents and her biological Grandfather, Huangfu Xiong aka EMP, is an extremely rich man, the Head of the Huangfu empire.
Being forced to leave her adopted parents and have to stay in her Grandpa palace, Xiao Mai discovers that the life as a princess in the palace isn’t as wonderful as what she imagined. Yes, she gets to wear beautiful dress everyday and so on but there is no warm feeling in the family. She even being labeled as gold digger by Nan Feng Jin (Wu Zun), most likely to be EMP’s heir. Both Xiao Mai and Jin can’t get along at all, while EMP wants to matchmake.
As time goes by, the hatred between Xiao Mai and Jin changes to the spark of love. But… the third party comes in. Gong Mo Li (by Genie Cho Wen Hsuan) not only wanting to steal Jin away from Xiao Mai but also Xiao Mai’s position as EMP’s granddaughter. Yeap, EMP suddenly comes out with the statement that Gong Mo Li is his real granddaughter instead of Xiao Mai. Jreng jreng jreng..
