Ariel Lin withdraws from Extravagant Challenge

Published by wiehanne at 3:27 pm under Taiwan Drama Edit This

When someone mentions Ariel Lin, what comes into my mind is the cute innocent ‘Xiang Qin’ in ISWAK - It Started With A Kiss. I’ve watched the original version (Japanese) of ISWAK but I prefer the way Ariel Lin carried the character of Xiang Qin to the one in the Japanese version.

After that, she was partnered with Wu Zun in Tokyo Juliet. I watched it half way cause Wu Zun’s acting skill is oh so worse at that time. Next, Ariel Lin played in Love or Bread, replacing Da S (Barbie Hsu) whom withdrawn from that Taiwan drama because of the unfair treatment by GTV.

Ariel-Lin-Jerry-Yan

This time around, it is Ariel’s turn to withdraw from Extravagant Challenge Taiwan drama (Hua Li De Tiao Zhan aka Skip Beat), where she is partnered with Jerry Yan. According to GTV, there is a differences in salary only, nothing else.

GTV’s vice president Lai Cong Bi said: “Apart from the salaries of male and female leads being different, the other treatment is all the same. We have many things where the first one we think of is Ariel, and in this time with some misunderstanding, we will do our best to communicate; the other parts we will not respond to.”

I don’t understand why they need to differentiate the salary between the male and female leads. Ugh. Another discussion of male is superior than female.

Anyway, let’s see who will replace Ariel Lin.

well….i’m not looking forward for this drama, cause…Tsuruga Ren has a special charisma, and such a personlality that i don’t think “jerry-yan” is capable to represente….but it’s funny after all, we’ll see if those actors can figure out ther caracters like the mangas.
and after all the manga can’t not be replaced by that stupid!!!
drama lets see how thay pull this one off !!!!
