This shocking news has become the headline news for the weekend. Sigh.

Jang Ja Yeon, known from her character as Sunny (one of the Jin Sun Mi trio) in the KBS drama Boys Before Flowers, was found death in her Bundang home on 7th March 2009. She committed suicide by hanging herself and was said as an action of her recent depression. Read more on AllKpop.

This is.. what can I say, unbelievable. She is a beautiful lady with such a bright career. She still looked alright and full of confident during the recent 45th Baeksang Awards with the other 2 members of the JinSunMi trio. But well, we won’t know if she was hiding the depression.

Update:
Yoo Mo of HoyaSporTainment, also Jang Ja Yeon’s former manager, came out with a speculative comments that it is clear Jang Ja Yeon wasn’t driven to suicide from depression but it was a murder case. What a drama!

More info about Jang Ja Yeon (some refer to her as Jang Ja Yun):
She was born on December 8th 1982. Graduated from Chosun University, and had made her debut through a Lotte Biscuit CF and started her acting career in My Lovely Fool. She still won a bit of popularity for her small role in Boys Before Flowers despite her late debut. But it’s being reported that a dispute with her present management agency and a lack of time in Boys Before Flowers had left her feeling depressed and eventually causing her to choose the wrong path.
