Story or synopsis of The Man Who Can’t Get Married a.k.a He Who Can’t Marry:
Cho Jae Hee is a man in his 40s who is very stubborn and hasn’t gotten married yet. His personality is so unbearable that women don’t find him attractable nor a good candidate for marriage. The romantic comedy drama, starring Yang Dong Geun as Jang Yi San and Park Min Young as Yoo Eun Byul, is originally from Japanese manga. The word ‘Sam’ also means ‘teacher’ in Korean, hence the title “I am Sam” or “I am Teacher”.
Synopsis of I am Sam Korean Drama:
Jang Yi San (by Yang Dong Geun) is a timid secondary teacher of a local school. He has a crush on the fellow teacher, Shin So Yi (by Son Tae Young). One night, during the outing with So Yi, he bumped into this sweet young girl - Yoo Eun Byul (by Park Min Young), whom is the only daughter of a mob leader and doesn’t like to study.
One thing lead to another thing, Eun Byul decided to enroll as a new student in the secondary school, where Yi San is teaching. Eun Byul’s father forced Yi San to stay under one roof with her and take care of her as if she is Yi San’s daughter. This remains as a secret to others, until the issue of teacher and student staying together is brought up. So Yi, who becomes Yi San’s girlfriend, found out and fed up with him. But Eun Byul fixed the whole situation by explaining more lie. So Yi even misunderstood Eun Byul’s father as Yi San’s father. Bottom line, things become more complicated and more lie is created to keep the secret and to protect Eun Byul.
